Lauren Rudick is a native of the Philadelphia area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English writing at the University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree in higher education at Penn’s Graduate School of Education. She started doing crisis intervention work as a volunteer at a community crisis agency serving victims of relationship abuse and sexual violence. Lauren joined Student Intervention Services after completing her degree at Penn GSE in 2011 and became the director of the office in 2019. She is an Anti-Violence Advocate, a Wellness Partner, and a Safe Space ally. Before coming to Penn, Lauren began her career as a newspaper copy editor and designer.
A Pennsylvania native, Lindsay grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania until moving to the Philadelphia area for college. Lindsay earned her bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Studies and Applied Ethics from Ursinus College and her master’s degree in higher education from Penn’s Graduate School of Education (GSE). She is currently pursuing her doctorate in education from GSE. Lindsay has been with Student Intervention Services since 2014 and is an Anti-Violence Advocate, a Wellness Partner, and a Safe Space ally. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband, CJ, and her dog, Coco.
A Pennsylvania native, Sarah graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and criminal justice with a minor in psychology. Sarah then went on to complete a master’s degree in sociology at Lehigh University in 2020. Before joining the SIS team at Penn, Sarah served as a case manager on Temple University’s behavioral intervention team. In that role, Sarah processed referrals regarding students of concern and provided individualized outreach in order to connect these students with support services and resources. Sarah lives in Philadelphia with her much beloved corgi, Otis.
William came to Student Intervention Services from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where he worked as an academic advisor and student affairs coordinator. He was the creator of PESTLE, Penn Engineering Student Learning and Engagement. He earned a Master of Science in higher education counseling and student affairs from West Chester University. For the last 9 years, he has worked in higher education as an academic advisor and mentor. In his spare time, he is a track and field high school and club coach, as well as a poet and a self-taught musician.
Katlin is a social worker and Penn SP2 alum. She went to the University of Delaware for her undergraduate education. From 2017 to 2021, she worked in various roles within Philadelphia’s child welfare system. Her previous role was as a blended case management program director in Bucks County. Most of her time and energy goes to her 1-year-old Portuguese water dog, Bonnie.
A Philadelphia native, Danté grew up in South Philadelphia. He started his career in crisis intervention and outreach in 2016 as an administrative coordinator serving disenfranchised families in the Philadelphia and Camden, N.J., area. Danté became a certified herbalist in 2022 and has plans of establishing an herbal and holistic wellness center in Philadelphia. Danté joined Student Intervention Services in 2023 as an administrative coordinator and is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Africana studies and psychology. He lives in Philadelphia with his cat, Spirit Ann.
